Monero to issue a hard fork on September 15th

As more people start using cryptocurrencies for anonymous payments, a challenge is posed to the developers to create a truly secure currency that scales well with the growing number of users and transactions. The obvious contesters for the sweet spot of the king of anonymous payments are Monero, ZCash and Verge. Monero in particular seems to be leading the race to reach mass adoption, and its popularity is causing the developers to issue a hard fork.

Monero version v0.11.0.0, to be activated on September 15th, will feature massive performance optimizations, as well as mandatory use of ring signatures in all transactions.
